But with about 3 - 4 inches of snow currently on the ground here and approximately 6 - 10 inches coming on Sunday, along with -15 degree temps... it's enough to make you a little nervous! What a way to bring in the new year! I am supposed to be heading back to school on Sunday and starting my classes on Monday, but it looks like I'm having to rearrange my plans. The greatest part of all of this is...... my birthday is tomorrow! Happy 20th birthday to me, here's 20 inches of snow! lol
I will say it's been a busy holiday, but at the same time very relaxing! I have spent a lot of much-needed time with my family and boyfriend. I haven't had as much time to blog as I thought I would! However, there is one thing I really want to share and that is my latest crochet project that I finished over break.
Here I am modeling it ;)
The hat pattern is by Jennifer DiMaria from the blog jenn likes yarn - this is the first hat that I have made and I'm so glad it was with this pattern because I LOVE it. I will be making plenty more of them to add to my already abundant hat collection...
I tend to go for variegated yarns because I like a lot of color, but the hat looks really good in a solid color as well. I have another photo of the hat and of a couple other projects on Ravelry - if you have one too, holla at me! @ allieoaktree (I almost enjoy it more than blogging!) it's the perfect place to see what everyone else in the world is crocheting or knitting, and a good place to find new patterns and new ideas. It is quite wonderful.
:) stay warm!
